The Gallery features contemporary and cutting edge artwork with an emphasis on figurative pop and urban surrealism. With a focus on painting and sculpture, the gallery exhibits work by emerging and internationally acclaimed artists. Distinction educates new buyers as well as selling to established galleries and private collectors around the world.
The gallery hosts a party and reception on the second Saturday of every month featuring fine wine, live music by some of the best up and coming musicians from San Diego and Los Angeles and of course, lots of art.
Gallery 1988 SanFran
Located at 1173 Sutter Street, at Polk, in the heart of the city, owners Katie Cromwell and Jensen Karp see this new location as a prime spot to promote the art and talented painters they've been exposing to Los Angeles since 2004. "We’ve found ourselves right in the middle of a rather large art explosion in Los Angeles," Karp explains. "Our Los Angeles location has been lucky enough to show some of the most talented artists exhibiting today, both established and completely unknown, and we’re ready not only to bring these names to the Bay Area, but also to start right back over with a whole new batch of painters, many straight from the city of San Francisco." Gallery Nineteen Eighty Eight opened its doors in April 2004 on the corner of Melrose and La Brea in Hollywood, California. Since their inception the walls have not only been graced by familiar names like Baseman, Biskup, Fairey and Dalek, but they also were the first traditional gallery setting for emerging artists Luke Chueh, Joe Ledbetter, Greg Simkins, Ahren Hertel, Audrey Kawasaki and Jason Sho Green.
Suite 100 Gallery
Suite 100 Gallery is an increasingly important part of the burgeoning Belltown art hysteria. In July 2006, Suite 100 Gallery obtained its space in the heart of Belltown, in Seattle, Washington. At 700 square feet, the gallery is perfectly suited for feature exhibitions of one- and two-artist shows, or salon-style group shows.
Suite 100 Gallery showcases art of importance by debutante, rising and established artists of merit, presenting to the public fine examples of originality, creativity, aesthetic and well-crafted technique. The very nature of Art involves imaginative reconstruction of the world we live in and representation of the ever-evolving ideas we develop and contend with. In acknowledgment of and appreciation for the ability of 21st century artists to push the envelope, Suite 100 Gallery shows artwork representative of trends forming in the art world, and artists with fresh methods and perspectives. In doing so, Suite 100 Gallery makes cutting-edge art accessible to the public, bringing the artists and art-appreciators together who share the same sidewalks.
The Hive Gallery
"We have 5 featured artists a month, 1 installation artist, up to 100 artists in a group show, a "$50 and under" artist-made item store, and 12 working artist studios in the space. We specialize in lowbrow, highly techical, and pop-surrealist works (and any other work that we feel is pushing the envelope). Our openings are run in a festival style- generally the first Saturday of every month, with up to 10 performances, live painting, video projection, and more. We also are a premiere gallery on the downtown, Art Walk (www.downtownartwalk.com with up to 25 participating galleries and museums such as The MOCA and Museum of Neon Art).
The Hive is at the forefront of the growing lowbrow scene on the west coast. We have been the first to show artists such as Audrey Kawasaki, Jophen Stein, Josh Clay, Chet Zar and many, many more. Gallery owners, collectors, and press (such as LA Weekly, Juxtapoz magazine) from around the world frequent our space personally and online to find the hottest new talent".

Juxtapoz Magazine
"Juxtapoz is a monthly Art & Culture Magazine based in San Francisco, CA. We write about art that inspires us. Art establishment conventions do not apply here. We don't print lengthy essays on the theory of paint splatter or lists of America's top collectors - just art and artists who matter. Juxtapoz was founded by Robert Williams in 1994, and we've been thumbing our collective nose new-school style ever since".
Hi Fructose Magazine
Hi-Fructose is a critically acclaimed under the counter culture art magazine founded by artists Annie Owens and Attaboy. Hi-Fructose showcases an eclectic mix of underground artists, pop surrealists, emerging and rediscovered counter cultures, and awe inspiring spectacles from around the world. Last year Hi-Fructose was nominated for Utne Reader's best new publication. Hi-Fructose now has world wide distribution, a fast growing circulation, and is available four times per year.
Art Whino
The concept behind Art Whino was conceived by gallery director Shane Pomajambo, who had dreamed of bringing to the DC area a large body of work from innovators of the current new art movement otherwise labeled Pop-Surrealism, Lowbrow and Urban Contemporary worldwide to one place. By bringing works from around the world to one place it allows the gallery patrons to experience the many movements of art as presented by these innovative artists.
Work on display includes the often hard to acquire work of established artists, and new work from emerging talents. The displayed work comes from the major metropolitan centers around the world including New York, Los Angeles, New Zealand, Denmark, Paris, London, Canada, and Rio.

TAG Galleries
The walls in TAG are lined with contemporary paintings by artists from all over the world. But the displayed works are only a sample. The wall is also decorated by a flat-screen TV, where customers can browse through an inventory of hundreds of works by the featured artists.
"We have artists with big followings, but not a lot of people in Baltimore have seen them," said Cory. "We're trying to capture the current generation."
You can also find T-shirts with prints done by contemporary artists as well at TAG. The shirts are made from organic cotton and the owners try to use inks that are environmentally friendly. They are planning on expanding their line of clothing in the near future.

C. Emerson Fine Arts Gallery
C. Emerson Fine Arts was founded in 2006 with the intention of going beyond familiar ground together with artists whose work is highly diverse and who mix different modes of expression to transcend established categories. All the artists exhibited are in their own way capable of expressing their emotions by presenting their world-view through questions regarding representation and their knowledge of the media they use.

Pom Pom's Teahouse
Best sandwiches in town...period.
Fighting Records
Fighting Records has a progressive business model that challenges the archaic concepts that have nearly ruined the music industry. Fighting believes in artist development, the digital medium and offering a product that is a better value proposition than just a download (but that’s not to say Fighting is anti-download). The label’s small roster is a diverse collective that blurs the lines between genres from punk to indie to underground hip-hop.

La LuZ Jesus Gallery

La Luz de Jesus Gallery was established in 1986 in Los Angeles, California as the brainchild of entrepreneur and art collector Billy Shire. Shire is considered largely responsible for fostering a new school of art in Los Angeles prompting JUXTAPOZ Magazine to dub him "the Peggy Guggenheim of Lowbrow."
La Luz de Jesus showcases mainly figurative, narrative paintings, and unusual sculpture. The exhibitions are considered post-pop; the art content ranges from folk to outsider to religious to sexually deviant. The gallery's main objective is to bring underground artists and counter culture to the masses.
Some of the past shows have been groundbreaking, introducing unknown artists who have become great names in the modern art world. La Luz de Jesus helped to establish artists such as Manual Ocampo and Joe Coleman, and hosted Robert Williams' art exhibits before he became a household name.
The gallery opens a new exhibit every month, with an opening reception that Details Magazine calls "the biggest and best party in Los Angeles."
Deifinition Gallery
Located at 1800 Fleet Street, Definition Gallery is housed in one of the oldest free standing buildings in Baltimore, MD. It is one of the few structures that survived the Great Fire of Baltimore in 1904. The history of Fells Point and the building itself make the gallery an even more interesting place to visit.
Definition Gallery works closely with both collectors and artists to provide a relaxed, yet professional environment where art education and appreciation take precedence over other aspects of the business.
